Aaliyah Yoong Hanifah, the 5 year old daughter of Hanifah Yoong and
Nozie Sulaiman followed their parents water skiing a few months ago
starting with kneeboarding. She became the youngest MWSF trainee to
successfully drop her ski to ski off in single ski on the 8th of

WATERSKI AND WAKEBOARD WORLD CUP SERIES |
It has been another
challenging and exciting 2008 season for the Waterski and Wakeboard
World Cup Skiers and Riders. Having celebrated the 26th successful World
Cup Stop and final of the 2008 series in Doha, Qatar, last weekend, the
International Water Ski Federation (IWSF) released the overall season

yesterday to a warm welcome and some cold coconut milk – and they were
all World Cup Waterskiers ! These included Clementine Lucine

WORLD CUP STOP |

On November 7/9, the International Water Ski Federation (IWSF) will
celebrate the staging of its 25th Waterski World Cup Stop in a truly
spectacular location. Situated just a short distance from Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia, Putrajaya Lake promises to be a revelation to many in the
watersports world. Putrajaya is a magnificent planned city and is the new
federal administrative centre of Malaysia. Founded as recently as 1995, it
was constructed on the site of the famous old rubber plantations and is now
located in the centre of what is known as Malaysia's Multimedia Super
Corridor. A high-speed rail link to Kuala Lumpur International Airport also

WATERSKI COURSE AT PUTRAJAYA INSTALLED –
OPERATIONS WILL COMMENCE ON 2nd
SEPTEMBER 2008 WITH THE WATERSKI DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN |
The Putrajaya Water Sports Complex is now
the only waterski & wakeboard centre that has an IWSF homologated slalom
course in Malaysia.
IWSF’s Homologator, Nigel Talamo had been
in Putrajaya this month to supervise the set up of the 3-event course at the
Putrajaya Waterski World Cup site. The course for slalom, tricks and jump
events were successfully installed at the World Cup site. Talamo had made
the initial checks on the readings of all the dimensions in his initial
homologation check .....

President of the International Water Ski Federation (IWSF), recently
announced PUTRAJAYA, the administration capital of Malaysia, as the
latest new venue for the 2008 IWSF Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup
series.
Putrajaya will
host the fifth stop of the six-stop 2008 calendar from the 7th to the
9th of November at the state-of-the-art Putrajaya Water Sports Centre at
Precinct 6 overlooked by the imposing Putrajaya International Convention
Centre. |
The events involved
will be Slalom, Shortboard and Jump and will feature the world's top
ranked men and women elite competitors .....

Federation will be holding a Coaching Seminar from 21-23 Nov 2008 in
either Shanghai or Beijing. The disciplines include, Slalom, Jump,
Tricks, Wakeboard Techniques, Driving, Physical Training and Coaching
Methodology. All members of the Malaysian Water Ski Federation or the waterski/wakeboard fraternity in Malaysia can contact the MWSF if
