MWSF TRAINEES MINI COMPETITIONS RESULTS

The Malaysian Water Ski Federation (MWSF) held a mini event at Putrajaya to warm up the trainees last Saturday on the 2nd May 2009. This exercise was to get them ready for the first National Championship event to be held in two weeks time.

The Mini-Course Slalom combined boys & girls event was won by Haziq Zohari, 18, with 26.25 points while Nadiah Nasir, 13, from Klang took the second spot overall with a score of 20 points. Joint third were Shamal Rahman, 13, and Izarin Sumar Lee with 17 points.

The Wakeboard Novice event was also participated by boys and girls together. Rody Sofian Buang won with 29 points with Shamal again in the frame with 24.5 points. Third was 8 year old Hadi Rahaizah who hails from Putrajaya.

All 18 trainees who competed were exposed to competition conditions with some clearly overcome with bouts of nervousness and tensions were running high. This was the first ever waterski & wakeboard competition these young Malaysian trainees had experienced. In the end all agreed that the day was extremely valuable and all had good fun despite the tensions.
